Hatha Yoga

Traditional hatha yoga is a holistic yogic path including: postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and meditation. A Hatha Yoga practice is designed to promote balance, flexibility, strength and connection to breath, focusing on form and alignment of postures. Open to all levels.

Moksha Inspired Yoga

Moksha yoga is a dynamic system of postures and breathing exercises specifically designed to be practiced in the heat. Moksha classes are intended to open, strengthen and detoxify the entire body. The traditional 40 posture series is done in a 90 minute class, though there are 60 & 75 minute condensed versions. Suitable for all levels.

Vinyasa Flow

Be yourself, let go and delve into a flow of postures that encourages awareness of breathe and energy moving through the body. A Vinyasa flow class is focused on moving consistently from pose to pose with the breath and works vigorously with sun salutations, standing poses and a wide variety of floor poses including backbends and inversions. The focus is on the breath, alignment in the poses and continuous movement throughout the class. Suitable for all levels.

Yang/Ying Yoga

A Yang/Yin class is a blend of a Hatha yoga and Vinyasa flows to energize the body, strengthen and create internal heat in the standing series followed by a gentle, restorative and relaxing stretch. Yin postures focus on long holds, which stretch beyond the muscle fibre into the denser connective tissue alignments, tendons and fascia. Suitable for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is both a gentle and challenging practice. Poses are held for 5-7 minutes stretching deep muscle tissue and fascia and increase flexibility through long holds. The purpose of this class is to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to allow the body to reach relaxation and restoration.

Restorative Yoga

Throughout our busy lives we may sleep, but rarely take time to rest. Restorative yoga helps us learn to relax and rest deeply. With the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease, along with gentle attention directed toward the breath, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance. In a dimly lit room with soft music each posture is held for 10 minutes creating a state of deep relaxation and well being.

Pre-Natal Yoga

In a prenatal class, pregnant women can expect to be guided through a gentle yoga class intended to relax, release, and attune their bodies to their rapidly growing child within. Expectant mothers will learn breath work, yoga postures, and meditation techniques to create increased health and awareness of themselves as a new mother and their baby. Poses may be modified depending on mom's pregnancy, yoga experience, and trimester.

What is laughter yoga?

Laughter yoga is a unique concept where anyone can laugh without reason. It is called laughter yoga because it combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing (pranayama breathing). It can bring measurable physiological changes like oxygen levels in the blood, muscle relaxation, blood circulation and release serotonin (feel good hormones) in the body.

Yoga for Kids

Kids yoga allows children to develop in all domains; cognitive, physical and socio-emotional. The objective of a yoga class is for children to exercise their gross and fine motor skills through balance and flexibility. Yoga enhances concentration, improve general well-being, boost confidence and relax their minds. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that's noncompetitive. Fostering cooperation and compassion—instead of opposition.

Children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that inner light that all children have to the surface.

These classes are for children between the ages of 4-10 and available for birthday parties.
